"BRICKS" Update

Proofread. Spellchecked. Reworked. I decided to add the newer stuff I was working on to it. I was originally going to start a second by the time, but I stretched this one out. It will be a collection of everything worthwhile and some that is not. Figured I would take my time and make the end result the best I could, because Im not sure if I will be lucky to do another project like this.

Jay..Honestly I'm almost done. Thanks so much to Jay and his 90's Kids pub company. I really am looking forward to this release, and I'm putting alot into it, hopefully you'll enjoy it.

Echo And The Bunnymen Record Score at the Rec Expo

Roy and I went to the Wildwood record expo to check it out. The nice part is, when you go to these its all handpicked. Every record you get is a choice piece rather than buying collections of craigslist and sorting through them all. I ended up buying almost as many for myself as roy did for the store.

Echo and the Bunnymen were the theme of the show for me. I landed 2 45's and a mint original pressing of Porcupine.

All and all the expo was pretty neat. The convention center is pretty big, so at first sight it looked like a bust. There were 4 main tables with a good amount of records to each collection. Alot were overpriced, but I managed to find some cool stuff. There was an indian guy there who was thoroughly convinced I loved rap records, and I suppose I do. From him I got some cool stuff too. The DeLa Single is in nice shape, Del is sorta beat up. The DMC was played out and had alot of miles on it, but it should because its one of the best rap lp's in the universe so Im sorta glad it did.

Also, got one of the earliest Anthrax singles ever made. And its from a guy who's wife worked for universal that Roy knows. And all the records he had were still in shrink and never played for the most part. Awesome. Also scored some Killing Joke and Ministry which makes me a very happy individual.

Phillies vs. Cubs 10-1

Best game ever. Phillies win 10 to 1. Jack Nicholson was in attendance which was strange, but pretty neat. Mike bought a Ruiz shirt, who possibly played one of the best games yet this season with an RBI double. Ibanez hit a 3 run homer in the first inning. Amazing. Werth and Howard hit home, and victorino caught everything hit anywhere near him.

Had a great time, thanks again mike. And thanks again Ruiz.

We Make It Reign

Thanks to Joe V for making Shore Things the exclusive one stop shop for all things supreme this summer..

Aneurysm Rats - Dying To Live

One of the best basement hardcore bands I have ever seen, and possible the world has going on hails from Philadelphia Pa. Their name is Aneurysm Rats. I will save the trouble of reciting this bands huge resume of having members of a ton of other great bands. They are making a name for their band aside from the fact they all have the credibility under their belts. Heavy, unique hardcore riffs that are strangely melodic and aren't afraid to show a little metal flair with awesome guitar solos throughout that always remain tasteful. This band was so outrageously great at a basement I saw them at last week I almost couldn't sleep. It was great to be reminded of how inspiring and fun this music can be.

Thanks for the band for the support and giving copies to the store. Do yourself a favor and see this band live this summer. If you don't get the chance to see them, come to shore things and buy a copy of their full length. It looks great on green vinyl with a silkscreened B-Side.

Such a great LP. One of my favorite releases of the year, can't wait to see what this band does next.

Crumbler - Dirty Weeks

Featuring Larry and Jude from Aneurysm Rats. Quick, relentless, furious hardcore punk. Literally a perfect seven inch. I seriously can't stop listening to it. Thanks to larry for handing over 5 copies of this, get it at shore things this summer.

One of the best seven inches I have heard in so long. Im getting alot of miles out of mine. You will too. Get it.

City Never Sleeps first show

Murder Can Kill....

We played as "Murder Can Kill Your Social Life." We couldn't figure out a name and went with that. Art and I convinced everyone to reconsider cause we didn't feel comfortable telling art's neighbors and our parents the band name. Later on after hours of trying to figure out a name, we ended up with City Never Sleeps. The only downside was we found out later that coincidentally, Cartel had a song called that on their first CD by the same name. Also, everyone thought we were from new york.

It was alot of fun though, and we wrote about 20 full songs in the span of about 2 years, but only ended up with 7 recorded. Unfortunately, our best material was never documented but we released a demo and an EP. The EP was recorded at Clay Creek and was titled, "City Never Sleeps - Is Asleep." We returned to clay creek to record both Jumpercable EP's. The most recent Jumpercable EP was titled, "Jumpercable - Is Up All Night."
